Wimberley Wins Three National Titles
The nation’s elite mountain bikers congregated in Roanoke, Va., in mid-July for USA Cycling’s Endurance Mountain Bike National Championships. It was a 16-year-old from Gravette who stole the show. Greyson Wimberley, who races for OZ Racing, swept the championships in all three disciplines: marathon, short track and cross country in the Men’s 15-16 category.
“I’m super excited to wear the stars and stripes,” he said. “I’m so thankful to my family and my team for supporting me. Becoming a national champion is an absolute dream come true.
“I have the best support in the world,” Wimberley said. “I’m so grateful to them and my parents who sacrifice everything to come watch me race. I’m also thankful for the community support in Northwest Arkansas and the amazing OZ Trails, where I did the majority of my training.”
