Founded in 2007 by a lifelong bike enthusiast, The Community Bicyclist in Little Rock grew from passion and purpose into a beloved local shop focused on accessibility, sustainability, and building a welcoming cycling community.

Rock City Cycling is Little Rock’s growing women’s cycling team, offering support, camaraderie, and opportunity for female riders to confidently train and race together — transforming Central Arkansas’s once sparse women’s cycling scene.

Pedal It Forward, a Northwest Arkansas nonprofit, refurbishes donated bikes to give to those in need. With a mission to increase access to bicycles, the group has gifted over 10,500 bikes since 2014.

Pedal It Forward Executive Director Kenny Williams plans to expand beyond free bicycles by offering affordable repairs, distributing higher‑quality mountain bikes to passionate youth, and extending outreach to rural Benton and Washington counties in Arkansas.

Trading the couch for a bike seat, this piece celebrates the small victories of rediscovering joy, freedom, and presence—one pedal at a time. No pressure, just movement, mindfulness, and the magic of beginning.
