Grit Fest Set For Oct. 2-4

All Bikes Welcome is hosting Grit Fest on Oct. 2-4 at Lake Leatherwood in Eureka Springs.

As the name of the organization suggests, everyone is invited. The vibe is a queer summer camp.

The festival kicks off with beginner and intermediate group rides Friday and a variety show. On-bike clinics for riders of all levels will be offered Saturday along with bikepacking talks, nature walks, arts and crafts, a used bike buyers guide, first aid essentials and more. Other activities on Saturday include a community dinner, raffle, a group trail run and food trucks.

A pair of no-drop group rides, a 15- and 30- mile option, will wrap things up on Sunday.

Participants are asked to pay $85 if they can muster, $135 to pay it forward, but a pay-what-you-can model is in place for those who need it. A carpooling form is also available.

Visit allbikeswelcome.org/grit-2026 or call 1-810-GRIT-NOW for more information and to register. Information about volunteering, hosting a workshop and more is also available online.

All Bikes Welcome’s goal this year is to develop a bikepacking gear library in conjunction with the Fayetteville Public Library. The group is accepting gear donations: tents, bikepacking bags, sleeping bags, camp cookware, first aid kits and more.

All Bikes Welcome is a Northwest Arkansas nonprofit working to expand equity and belonging in cycling and the outdoors.
